One $500 scholarship is being offered by the society to a high school student who has been admitted to a degree-granting college/university, agrees to a college study including history, and submits a minimum 500 to 750 word essay with source references. The essay should be about something of historical interest in Fremont or Custer County. The application was mailed home on February 3; please see Miss Lahtinen for a copy.
